A NOTE FROM THE TEACHER
A few of you have asked about afternoon sessions for your children, and they are available! We currently have 3 students attending the 12:30-3:00pm sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays. Let me know if you would like to bring your child back in the afternoons on those days, or for all 4 days! Prices would depend on the number of afternoons a week you are interested in, and you would be responsible for still picking up your child at 11:30am and bringing them back at 12:30pm.
As always, if you know of families interested in enrolling their child for AM or PM preschool, please do pass along my information!
For our Christmas Party, we will celebrate the day with:
Pajamas or Christmas sweaters
Singing songs
Playing holiday games
Decorating/eating (vegan) cookies and hot chocolate
Sharing gifts
Similar to Halloween, if you would like to bring or donate treats, please have them be non-food items due to allergies in our classroom! If you would like to stay for some or all of the day, you are welcome to!

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Check your child's bag for a "Reindeer Take-Home Card", which they can use to teach you all about the physical characteristics, habitat, young, and diet of the animal!
Theme: Christmas
There are things to do and ways to celebrate Christmas, and each day we will learn about:
Singing songs and saying greetings.
Creating cards and giving gifts.
Decorating our homes (and classroom).
Eating food and playing games.
Math: Subitizing
We will quickly recognizing how many numbers we see! Think about how you can look at a dice or domino and know how many dots there are, without having to count them one by one. This greatly helps students with number sense!
Art/Science/Social Studies
We will create art projects related to Christmas!
AT-HOME PRACTICE AND TIPS
To continue practicing and strengthening your child's skills at home, feel free to pick and choose activities from this "Family Choice Grid".
